Burberry Prorsum AW13

I was all ready for Summer.
For the lighter nights, sun kissed skin and light dresses.
Burberry Prorsum AW13 has left me craving structured trench coats and leather pencil skirts.
Christopher Bailey always hosts one of my favourite shows at London Fashion Week and this year he did not disappoint; clothing to flatter a woman's shape in Autumnal hues of brown, maroon, white and gold.
Cara Delevigne and Karlie Kloss looked impeccable in ladylike skirts and Jourdan Dunn in that white dress? Wow!

Valentines Day

Valentines day divides the nation every year.
There are those who despise the whole idea and view it as a ploy for businesses to make a bit of cash after the January slump.
Then, there are those who think the idea of a special day to show a little bit of love is the perfect idea.
I'm not sorry to admit I'm the latter.
I think any reason to show those in your life that you love them should be grabbed with two hands.
It's also the best excuse to treat yourself to something very naughty, especially if you're single.
Nobody judged me for those Chloe sunglasses...
Unfortunately I'm now a grown up with rent and bills.
Here's my wishlist:

Trousers All Saints, Heels ASOS, Clutch Miu Miu, Wrap and Bangle Mulberry

Black, white and rocks

Black and white is the perfect combination; monochrome is set to be a huge trend for Spring/Summer 2013.
The look is simple to put together and looks so elegant, especially thrown together with statement jewellery. There's something very chic and sexy about leather trousers and a shirt paired with courts and a structured bag.
I've been inspired by images I've found on Pinterest and here are my favourites:

Will you be wearing monochrome this Spring?

Wish Wish

Here is my little wish list as we move into Autumn.
A silky vest with lace detail that can be worn with leather trousers or tucked into a midi skirt, a classic black bag that I can throw my life into and knuckle bling courtesy of YSL. Fierce boots with ankle straps and a touch of NARS Multiple in South Beach; as worn by Millie Mackintosh (this was discovered by Corrie)
Black and white laid back style without too much effort.

Harvey Nichols AW Press Day

Last week I was invited to the Harvey Nichols Manchester Press Day.
Four floors of beauty, food and fashion; Harvey Nics is a shopping haven. They never disappoint.
The new styles in each department were displayed for everyone to have a little play.
My three favourite things in one room and a glass of Prosecco? Perfect!

THE Harper bag. Structured leather with front pockets.

I enjoyed having dabbling with the beauty products the most.
The Jo Malone products smelt divine, I'd love to indulge in a scented candle sometime.
Bobbi Brown is a brand I've not been drawn to, but the bronzer/eye shadows (you could use the palette for both) was just gorgeous.
My favourite discovery by far was the YSL Touche Eclat foundation. A liquid that glided on and set matte, it made my skin look flawless and feel moisturised; a real luxurious product.
What is your favourite foundation? Any recommendations?

Lucile London

Every girl needs exquisite, slightly naughty lingerie.
Lucile London uses the finest silk, chiffon and lace to create the most gorgeous designs. The brand's British heritage is held in high esteem as all their garments are designed and hand sewn in Great Britain.
The Northern Press Day was held at Epernay Champagne Bar in Manchester, which showcased the new range.
Rails of sumptuous hangers displayed delicate pieces from the Duchess of Warwick & The Queen of Spain. There were also adorable gift boxes with silk underwear inside.
I grabbed a few photos on my iPhone and altered them with Instagram.

Wardrobe Staples

Jeans, Top, Jacket: Topshop, Sandals: Aldo, Bag: Zara, Bracelet: HOH, Sunglasses: Rayban

Manchester makes it extremely difficult to decide what to wear.
I am guilty of the impulse purchase of pretty, impractical pieces that sit in the back of my wardrobe.
I'm currently trying to create a basic wardrobe of clothes I can wear for work and for casual wear.
Stylish layers are essential. Just imagine an umbrella in that bag and that's all I need!

What I Wore

Last weekend I visited London, as mentioned in a previous post.
Whenever I visit I always remember how much I love the city and it's diversity from anywhere else I've visited; every part has different restaurants, bars, people..
It's difficult not to get wrapped up in a musical-esque frame of mind.
So just go with it.
Here's what I wore

Whole outfit: Topshop, Shoes: Aldo, Bag: Jigsaw, Sunglasses: Chloe

Wedding outfit. Dress (Maxi): Oasis, Blazer: Topshop, Bag: Miss Selfridge, Shoes: Kurt Geiger
(Excuse my facial expression, I was snapped whilst talking)

Carvela at Kurt Geiger

Kurt Geiger is the Jimmy Choo of the High Street. Exquisite displays of styles that make me go weak at the knees, I often find myself wondering into the store to simply pretend I am walking into my walk in wardrobe..
Having been a student until September I've not had the disposable income to purchase a pair of Kurt Geigers; a new Topshop outfit for that night always seemed to get in the way. Now that I'm a honey making money (throw your hands up at meee), I've found that I want to spend my money on higher quality clothing and accessories.
Welcome to my wardrobe, Kurt
