The Alchemist New York Street

The Alchemist is hailed as one of the best cocktail bars in Manchester.
A chic, modern atmosphere which serves up a wide variety of concoctions that smoke, pop and bubble.
The name is rather fitting.
The Alchemist New York Street opened in August after the growing success of the original bar in Spinningfields.
The design is faultless, with every detail made to look like an Apothecary.
Last week I slipped out of work to meet my Mum for lunch.

Ever the professional, I opted for a non-alcoholic alcoholic drink.
The range of faux cocktails is impressive, you feel like you're sipping a martini whilst actually drinking fruit juice.

We ordered a selection of 'Tapatizers' to share.
Our server Kat made suggestions, all of which we took and more.
She's the kind of girl who becomes part of your conversation you almost wish she could grab a drink with you and pull up a chair.

The chicken wings are served in a smoking skull.
A certain talking point for the table and succulent chicken that falls off the bone all in one!

Now, you can't experience a bar properly without sampling the drinks.
So I did what any normal person would do. I went back.
These photos are from Instagram so they're not the best, but they do the job.

The Alchemist know what they're doing and the staff are always on it.
Hit whichever one is closest to you and you'll be receiving some of the best service and drinks in Manchester.

Burberry Prorsum AW13

I was all ready for Summer.
For the lighter nights, sun kissed skin and light dresses.
Burberry Prorsum AW13 has left me craving structured trench coats and leather pencil skirts.
Christopher Bailey always hosts one of my favourite shows at London Fashion Week and this year he did not disappoint; clothing to flatter a woman's shape in Autumnal hues of brown, maroon, white and gold.
Cara Delevigne and Karlie Kloss looked impeccable in ladylike skirts and Jourdan Dunn in that white dress? Wow!

Pencil Skirts
Metal Eyelets

Elemis sp@home

Whenever I have the flat to myself for the evening there's nothing I enjoy more than pamper nights.
Candles, magazines and bubbles - relaxing in the bath is perfect after a day sitting at my desk.
Elemis sp@home quiet mind bath elixir has been my saviour recently.
I'm not a fan of sweet smelling bath milks so the Elemis blend of patchouli, ho wood and eucalyptus which has a mild, relaxing aroma is perfect.
The bath water cocoons and soothes the muscles as a touch of cocoa butter conditions the skin.

Body oils are something I've only just started experimenting with.
The Elemis evening bloom dry body oil is to be swept over the skin where the soothing blend of jasmine, ylang ylang and vanilla.
It leaves the skin feeling divine and compliments the bath elixir.
The combination of the two relaxes and calms.
Clamber between clean sheets with fashion magazines and cookies and don't answer your phone.
A lovely introduction to a great night's sleep.

Valentines Day

Valentines day divides the nation every year.
There are those who despise the whole idea and view it as a ploy for businesses to make a bit of cash after the January slump.
Then, there are those who think the idea of a special day to show a little bit of love is the perfect idea.
I'm not sorry to admit I'm the latter.
I think any reason to show those in your life that you love them should be grabbed with two hands.
It's also the best excuse to treat yourself to something very naughty, especially if you're single.
Nobody judged me for those Chloe sunglasses...
Unfortunately I'm now a grown up with rent and bills.
Here's my wishlist:

Trousers All Saints, Heels ASOS, Clutch Miu Miu, Wrap and Bangle Mulberry

Clinique Chubby Sticks

Clinique is a brand I've only ever purchased skincare from previously.
They advertised their Chubby Sticks before Christmas and I received the Whole Lotta Colour for Christmas from my boyfriend's lovely Dad and Step-Mum.

The set of five mini sticks come in a beautiful, chic pink box with a ribbon to pull out your drawer of juicy coloured lip products.
These are the best balms I have ever used.
Bold statement, yes. But hear me out.
I have to apply balm to my lips every few hours during all weathers to keep them from becoming chapped.
I have used everything from Nivea to L'Occitane and although most are great, none have made my lips the plump, smooth and moisturised state they're in since I started using chubby sticks.

Chunky Cherry , Richer Raisin, Curvy Candy, Oversize Orange,Super Strawberry

The set feels so luxurious and are lovely to use.
Would you be tempted by Clinique's Chubby Sticks?

Black, white and rocks

Black and white is the perfect combination; monochrome is set to be a huge trend for Spring/Summer 2013.
The look is simple to put together and looks so elegant, especially thrown together with statement jewellery. There's something very chic and sexy about leather trousers and a shirt paired with courts and a structured bag.
I've been inspired by images I've found on Pinterest and here are my favourites:

Will you be wearing monochrome this Spring?
